International week in Bergen
We are pleased to welcome players, coaches, parents and spectators to our international tournament week from December 1 to December 8.
Hotel information
The recommended tournament hotels are Grand Terminus Hotel and Zander K Hotel. Both hotels are located 100 meters from the city railway, “Bybanen”, with direct connection to Bergen Tennis Arena. The railway stop next to the hotels is called “Nonneseter”.

Transport
There is direct connection by city railway, “Bybanen”, from Bergen Tennis Arena to both the airport and the city center. The railway stop next to Bergen Tennis Arena is called “Slettebakken”.
A week card costs 115 NOK (approx. € 12) for children and 245 NOK (approx. € 25) for adults.
Food
There is hot lunch and dinner on the menu in our cafeteria every day for approx. € 6-8. We encourage players with allergies and dietary requirements to contact the tournament director in advance.
Stringing
The club is offering stringing service.
Service hours:
- Weekdays from 09:00 a.m. to 09:00 p.m.
- Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m.
- Sundays from noon to 07:00 p.m.
Prices: € 20 with own strings, € 30-40 with club strings.
Live Streaming
There are two technology courts on Bergen Tennis Arena. Court 1 is a PlaySight Smart Court, and court 2 is a PlaySight Live Court. The matches on both these courts will be broadcasted live online for free via https://web.playsight.com/facility/bergen-tennis-arena/home. As we are not permitted by ITF to broadcast the matches from the ITF U18 tournament, there will only be U14 matches on these courts.
Facilities
All players and coaches will get free access to Wi-Fi, fitness center and “Players’ lounge”. You will find more information on the arena.
Practice balls
Offered to a depositum of 100 NOK or € 10. The official tournament ball is Soderling.
Practice courts
Five courts at Bergen Tennis Arena are open for free practice / warm-up, and the arena opens 1.5 hours before the first scheduled matches each day.
- 60 min before: 1st & 2nd round players
- 30 min before: 3rd & 4th round players
Daily free practice also at Aktiv 365 from Monday to Thursday (see location information below):
- 1200-1230: 5th round players
- 1230-1300: 6th round players
- 1300-1330: 7th round players
- 1330-1400: 8th round players
Practice is only for players. Practice is 30 minutes on half a court.
The courts are also open for practice in the afternoon/evening, after the last scheduled matches. Bookings can be made to the referee. There is free access.
Need more practice hours?
The practice court capacity at Bergen Tennis Arena will be limited, and we have therefore made a nice deal with the closest tennis club: Nesttun Tennisklubb at Aktiv 365 (address Tjernvegen 30) is offering practice courts for players in the TE / ITF event for 150 NOK per hour. The arena is easily accessible with railway, “Bybanen”, only two stops from Slettebakken (Bergen Tennis Arena) to Paradis (Aktiv 365).
